Data Push

Has anyone else had this problem? After sitting for a few minutes, the Data push for my corporate email will turn off and switch over to a fetch schedule. I have turned in my Blackberry at work and have been allowed to recieve a stipend so that I can just carry one phone. The data push turning off does not do me any good at all. I thought it was just me, but a co worker who has a bionic as well is experiencing the same problem. I thought it might have been a setting I selected, but the co worker's phone is straight default settings. He doesn't mess with anything in there. I don't have anything set that I see that would turn off the data push. I know the push works. Whenever I turn the data push back on, I can have  test email sent to me, and I'll get it right away.

Anyone have any ideas?

How is it that you know that the setting changes?

Well, I stop getting my emails right away.I also go into the settings and see that the check box has become unchecked for data push, and the checkbox for 15 minute fetch becomes checked.

Yes, my email does the same thing, however the other way around.

I have my corporate email as my "default" email and I have the settings on "Data Push" for this email. I also have an AOL email that I have the settings say "Fetch - Manually"... and like you, as soon as I turn the settings to those listed above, about 10 minutes or even a day later my phone automatically changes my AOL account settings back to "Fetch - 15 minutes". I do not want my AOL email to Fetch at all unless I click on it. I will go back to my email settings after I see an AOL email pop up and sure enough, my settings went back to "Fetch - 15 minutes".

I don't know why my settings keep changing without wanting them to. This problem needs to be fixed.

I'm guessing here, but this may work.  Try settings>battery & data manager>battery mode and select "performance mode".  The battery mode controls some of the features on the Bionic.  It is quite possible that the Bionic is stalling the "push" email in an effort to conserve battery power.

I have an IMAP (push email) email account set on my Bionic.  It is NOT syncing with a corporate server or anything.  It does do a surprisingly good job keeping on top of emails though.

Hope this helps!

Another odd thing with this issue I noticed. If I set my fetch schedule to be 1 hour, it gets set back to 15 minutes. It's like 15 minute fetch is the default for something, and it keeps getting set to that.
