Data switching off overnight

Ever since the software update to gingerbread I am finding my data indicator going away every night. To get back I switch to airplane mode and then back In the data indicator reappears. 

 

Any idea how to stop this from happening?

I was told by a tech at VZW you need to remove the battery every day. Nice solution....

 

There are no known issues with this phone, they also told me that.

Thanks for the reply, but I think I will stick with switching it in and out of airplane mode.  Much easier than taking the battery out.  Other than that, the phone has worked absolutely perfect for me since I bought it early in the year.  It is really been the best phone I've ever owned.  Have not experienced any of the problems I read about this forum.  As far as I'm concerned, it is a great phone.
