Default Browser... Broken

So after the 2.2 update was installed my default browser just won't launch. It tries and then

"Sorry! The application Internet (process com.android.browser) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again. "

Anyone able to help out, I really would prefer the default browser over an App which may get dropped by it's developers.

I recommend Dolphin HD browser

That's what I had to download just to use the internet. The stock feature shouldn't break because of a software update, is my point. It's stock, it should always work.

• Power off the phone and remove the battery for awhile
• Go to settings-->applications-->manage apps-->browser-->clear cache & if you want you can clear the data too.   Also tap force stop.
• Then try the browser

Just curious what step worked for you that I mentioned?

P.S: I am not a fan of the Dolphin Browser because it is too big

Try *228 also. Is your 3g on or off? Cause mine after update was off. Just did the 228 trick. Back to normal now
