Defective New X2

So after stressing about which phone to get for my husband/me, I decide on the X2.  I'm waiting very patiently (not) for it to come today.  It finally arrives and what happens?  The home button and the search buttons don't work!  Ugh!!! So thankfully for Verizon Customer Service a new Device in enroute, not even 10 minutes after the original one was delivered :smileysad:

it won't get there 'til monday, fedex doesn't deliver on the weekend.

Yeah, I know but since Monday is a holiday it won't actually get here till Tuesday.  My point was that the Customer Service Rep was quick to send out the new device and it has already shipped, It's a good thing my device is still in working condition :smileytongue: With all the negativity going around on the forums about Customer Service I wanted to share what I considered to be a positive experience.

If you purchase a phone online, you have to return it through FedEx (or whatever service delivers it)

 

BUT, glad you're getting a new (hopefully) working device! :smileyhappy:

Just another thread that causes me to always pick up my new phones at a store.  I can check all the buttons, check the screen, make a call, receive a call, etc. before walking out of the store. I can also check the receipt to make sure all wanted features and discounts are listed.

 

I realize that online sales is required because some people don't live close to a physical store or just don't have the time, but going to a "brick & morter" store just removes one more possible problem you can have when purchasing a phone.

 

Here's hoping your new X2 works wonderfully,

I totally understand where you are coming from, me though, I would rather have them send my phone to me & transfer my info myself. the only times I have ever bought my phone from a store I've had problems :smileysad: I doing want to say that I don't trust the sales people but the first time I bought my phones from the store they scammed me! The second time they totally boched the transfer of my contacts. I will day they are all very friendly though :smileywink:

Yes it came today, and I really, really like it!  But I am giving it to my Hubby, begrudgingly though :smileysad:  It does seem quite snappy :smileyvery-happy:  I would love to keep it for myself but it doesn't have Netflix :smileysurprised: and I have the little guy most of the time who likes to watch the old A-Team shows, besides I have more patience than my husband so I can do with a slightly slower phone :smileywink:

It's not available for all phones yet, I have it on my X but it's not available on the X2 yet, it wasn't available on the D2 either but it is available on the originally Droid :smileysurprised:

Hi been following your thread,i have an x1 & x2 love them both,i can tell you there is netflix for the x2 I have it installed on both my x's....its not in the market but it is out there just google it.if you cannot find it let me know.
