Deleted photo still in gallery

Hi,

Can anyone help me with a glitch I seem to be having?  I have deleted a photo from my gallery, but the thumbnail still shows up in every folder.  When I press the thumbnail, the image comes up momentarily before switching to a black & white graphic that looks like the generic icon for landscape photo setting.  If I long press the thumbnail, the menu options come up, but the delete option is grey and won't respond to a press--presumably because the phone thinks the image has already been deleted.  This wouldn't be a huge problem, if not for the fact that the photo is not exactly G-rated and I really don't want that thumbnail in there while trying to show other photos that are on my phone to my friends.  So, taking it to a local verizon store for help is not an option.

This is the only photo that is giving me trouble.  I have deleted plenty of others that stayed deleted!  Go figure...it would have to be that picture that just won't go away...lol!

The solution is just to go to Settings - Applications - Manage Applications - All Tab - Gallery - Clear Data.  This will reset gallery and it will rescan all files and update images..

You can also clear the data in the photowidget app.

Sometimes that doesn't even work, in which case you'll have to clear media storage data, which sucks, because then you have to put all of your ringtones back, redo your playlists, and notification tones.

This will work also but I try not to suggest it to fast because of that little concern, but if they do your suggestion it should fix the issue also.

It seems that handcent keeps it's settings for sms tones and I figured out how to keep it from deleting the playlists. If you create the playlists on your PC, save it as m3u, you can put the files on the sdcard and the music app will find them every time.

Thanks for update, I use Mederian Player and it allows user to make play list in player and it doesnt effect this player but this is worth knowing if I use stock player..
