Deleting E-mail Accounts

My yahoo email account has been spamming messages to my contacts, so I deleted it (on a desktop computer). I can't figure out how to delete the account from my droid. I have two accounts (yahoo and gmail) the yahoo is my default, but since it isnt in use anymore I want it deleted from my phone. Ive tried everything! Please help!

Assuming that you are using the default HTC Mail App...

Open the Mail App

Tap Menu-->Accounts List & select the account you wish to delete.

Tap Menu-->More-->Settings

Tap Delete Account

Thanks for the information nimiaj. I also wanted to list some steps to delete an email account on  your Droid Incredible. I also recommend performing a soft reset on your phone by powering off and on for 1-2 minutes. You can also update your phone to the network by dialing *228, send, and choosing option #2. This will also reset your phone and any changes made to your device.

1. From the home screen, select the applications tab (located in the lower-left).
   
   
2. Select Mail.
   
   
3. Select Menu.
   
   
4. Select More.
   
   
5. Select Accounts list.
   
   
6. Select the email account.
   
   
7. Select Menu.
   
   
8. Select More.
9. Select Settings.
   
   
10. Select Delete account.
    
    
11. Select OK.
