Personally I would lean towards waiting for some of the newer phones on the horizon. The prime or possibly the iPhone 5. No 4g in my neck of the woods. I don't suffer any of the problems some seem to have but then again I'm not running gingerblur either.

Hello and thank you to the community for the great information provided.
DDH, I am glad to hear that you are satisfied with your device. The Droid X is personally one of my favorites as well. If you are eligible for an upgrade, you may do so at www.verizonwireless.com or by calling 1-800-256-4646 when you choose. You can also check if you are eligible for an upgrade by dialing #UPG (#874) + Send.
Thank you,

About the only difference is that the Droid X2 is the dual core. Other than that, they are pretty much the same. I also have the Droid X and really like it. I am using Gingerbread and have had no problems with it (yet!). Should you upgrade, depends. If you are eligible, check out the HTC Thunderbolt, the Droid 3 and a few of the others. As for any of the Iphones, it all depends upon whether you are interested in an opened or a closed system. I should also mention that I am very careful in my apps downloads. I read all the comments and never download one which has less than 4 stars.
