Display Problem

While in voice mail and listening to messages the display will go black as if it is in the power saving mode and will not come out of this mode or re-illuminate no matter what you do until the call has ended. Once the call has ended in voice mail then the screen turns back on. It doesnt do this in regular phone call mode. If the screen goe black (into power saving mode) as soon as the phone moves, turns or spins the screen will brighten/re-illuminate.It should do the same when in the voice mail function but i does not?

Does anyone know how to correct this problem? Nothing I do in display settings seems to work?

Thanks

a couple of suggestions:

1.) set the screen time-out to a bit longer

2.) you can turn the screen back on by pressing the power button (making sure that this button does NOT end a call)

I have noticed the same issue. All I have to do is press the power button to bring it out of this sleep mode. This is actually a good thing. Just like in a normal phone call, you don't want to accidentally hang up on the person you are talking to. In this case, you don't want to accidentally press "7" and delete a voice mail that you might actually want to keep. Just press the power button.

I have a issue when checking voice mail, when I go to punch in my password, the screen keeps turning on and off.  It sometimes takes me two or three times typing in my password before I can access voice mail.

Radar320,

This should FIX your problem.  Try to enter it automatically.  Go to menu>settings>call settings and touch Voicemail "Settings for My Carrier."  Then enter *86 followed by a pause (this inserts a comma) and follow that with your password.  Usually one pause comma works but if needed add two commas.  BTW, you will have to touch the key ?#+ to go to the keyboard that has the PAUSE comma.

Did this fix your problem???
