Do I need specific software to transfer music from my computer to my Droid Mini?

Do I need software to upload music to my droid using my desktop computer? I never had to before using my 2 year old droid, and if I need software, where will I find it/   Thanks for any help.

When you first connect your phone to your computer via the USB cable, the software should load automatically.
