Do I need to fully charge my Incredible b 4 use?

Should I fully charge my battery before use and then let it drain and recover with a full charge?

Or can I use it and charge it out of the box?

FULL CHARGE!!! it only takes a couple hours and i'm sure you've seen the complaints/issues with the battery. you may as well be safe and let it charge before you start playin with it. the batteries are "trained" to properly charge and you don't want to start off on the wrong foot. besides.....you' ve been waiting for a couple weeks for it....what's 2 more hours? i don't know that i'd let it drain and charge it again before using, but i'd at least give it one full charge before doing anything. you'll drain it in a few hours after that (just playin with it) and then you can give it anther full charge. the battery will be annoying initially....but it gets batter the more you drain and charge it. 2 weeks now, and i can get a full day off a charge. i think that's acceptable, considering how much i use it and how much it does.

Thanks dude, I appreciate your help with the posts. I'm glad to see people are still helping even after they get their phones.

Cheers Az

no problem.....forums are the only place to find help these days. the owner manual is 208 pages of some very basic stuff. and most of the customer service reps (vzn and htc) can't answer specific questions....especially if they've never even played around with one. in your package there's a link to download the owners manual. i downloaded it to the phone so i can look up stuff whenever i want. the manual is not that helpful, but i have found a few different/easier ways of doing what i want. i also called the 800 # that's in there to order a hard copy. it's free, and came in a few days. it's like a small text book....lol. it seems like many reps answer every ? with "did you try a hard reset?" many times they don't bother to tell you that if you've spent days customizing the phone....that will all disappear. sometimes a soft reset will fix something, and sometimes just changing a setting will do it, so i hate to see peolpe have to start from scratch to fix something that could have been easier. have fun.
