Does Incredible come out of box with Swype texting built into it or is there an app for it and if so is that way of doing it a pain in the butt

I have the Motorola Citrus and it comes with swype, so I hope the Incredible will now as well. I am trading in for an incredible this week because I am not very happy with the rest of the features on this phone. The camera is the worst Ive seen on a phone so far and the multitask functions are hard to use.

No. However, there are a couple of options. You can sign up for the next beta release with SWYPE and wait. Or you can download SlideIT from the Android market, which has similar functions. In fact, I have SlideIT on my phone, and it works pretty effectively. Check out the free trial version in the market.

Thanks but with an app from the market can when someone texts you can you reply right back to them with the swype or do you have to click on app and start over with new text to the person. Thanks

You just need to change from the default (touch) keyboard to SlideIT, and then you would be able to use it whenever you go to type. Same goes for SWYPE if you get your hands on a beta. Once you download SlideIT, for example, click on Settings, then Language and Keyboard, then select SlideIT. There is a demonstration video also. Once you get used to the concept, you should be able to input text much quicker than on the default keyboard.
