The maximum file size for picture / video messages varies from device to device. The file size limitation is based on the megapixels of the camera on the device:
Devices with a 3.0+ megapixel camera can send / receive a maximum file size of 600 KB. Lowering the camera resolution will reduce the image file size.
Many devices are capable of sending messages that exceed intercarrier file size limits (typically 300 - 600 KB). A message that exceeds the other carrier's limits will be rejected and not reach the intended recipient. You usually would get the message limit reached error when that happens.
The maximum file size that can be sent from an email to a device is 3 MB. When any message over 350 KB is sent to the device, the file is reduced in size to be under 350 KB prior to delivery. If a device sends a 500 KB file to a device with a lower file size limit the file will be reduced to a file size acceptable by the receiving device.
Make sure that the pictures you are uploading to Facebook are sized correctly.
Go into the camera settings and change the resolution to the lowest setting.

Even after lowering the resolution it will not let me send a video to Facebook or text message. Any other suggestions?

Try clearing memory on the device by removing unwanted messages.
Then power the device off and remove and replace the battery, then power the device back on and dial *228 send and option 1. Record a new video with the lowest resolution that is about 5 seconds and try sending it.

How large is the video file? Verizon has put a hard cap(booo) of 5 gig for file attachments to email. This was supposed to be correct with the Nov update, but that feature was them removed from the list of improvements.

get the qik app. best app i've ever downloaded...period! you download qik, go the qik site and set up your account, link it to fb, and you can stream long, high quality videos to fb in seconds. seriously...if posting video to fb is what you really want to do (as it doesn't help with the text/email of videos) then qik is a MUST HAVE.
