Driod Question

I currently have a Blackberry Curve. I am considering upgrading to the Driod X. I have several friends that I communicate with daily with the Blackberry  Messenger and I wanted to know if there was a app that would allow the X to continue communicating with the messenger software. I have a couple  friends that do not have unlimited text?

The Droid X is a great messaging/Email phone. If you do want to download a messaging apps, there are several; however, unnecessary. The Droid X has a messaging apps which covers both text messages and Email. As for your friends who do not have unlimited text, nothing you can do about that.

Agreed...the X is a great messaging phone.

I suggest for your friends w/o unlimted texting. If they are on a BB or a Droid to sign up for Google voice and use that for texting.

Google Talk might be another option. I am not sure if it available on the Blackberry phones though.

I'm most definitely NOT a VZW employee. If a post answered your question, please mark it as the answer.

To answer your question, BB messenger is native to Blackberry. There are currently no like/as programs that will use the blackberry pin# to text outside of that environment. As the other posts have mentioned, if you go with an X, your best option would be to find another program for you AND your BB friends to stay in touch with, but you friends without unlimited may have to step up.
