Droid 2 Global - FM radio

SamM
Newbie

I just bought the Droid 2 Global.

Please tell me it has FM Radio ready to go on it.

That's like the main reason I bought it.

This is my first smart phone. I can't find anything on it.

I thought I saw an FM Radio Icon on it somewhere but now I can't find it.

Also the Verizon Review video said it had it on there.

If it does not I am returning it.

Can anyone tell me how to find it?

You're lucky, because I also have a Droid 2. Yes, your Droid does have FM built in. However, like the Droid X, you need an ear piece plugged in, and for the same reason, it acts as an FM antenna.

On the Droid 2 Global?   Certainly not an installed app, the instructions I have seen seem to need, um, special permissions, and the end result is FM out of only one earpiece.

You are correct and I'm wrong. But that's strange because I go earbuds along with the Droid 2 and I just assumed that it was FM capable. Guess your only option is to go to Market and install one. I use Pandora since there is a huge variety of music on it.

Download TuneIn from the Marketplace. Great, free app that can provide local radio stations - as well as any other Internet streamed broadcasts.
