I recently purchased a Droid 2 Global and have only had the phone for about a week but I am having issues determining how to sync my Motorola widgets (particularly Facebook and the news). When I began to use the phone they were updating regularly but I have changed a few settings such as turning off background data and setting social networking to only sync over wifi. I would really like to have regular updates from the widget but cannot figure out how to undo what I have done to prevent syncing. Any suggestions will appreciated.

In settings press data manager then data delivery.
Turn on background data, and data enabled.
Click social applications and turn off sync over wifi only.

Jason,
I have tried several configurations including what you described below but I usually turn background processes off except for when I'm using the marketplace to download apps. I will try the settings you suggested to see what happens. Thanks!
