Droid 2 Global Problem

Since this past weekend, my phone has pretty much gone to **bleep**s. I get repeated text messages, mostly from Weather.com, and a few of my friends, and not all of my calls are going through. Not to mention it has been extremely slow and can't open most of my apps. From what I can gather from the forums is that an update was recently released, 2.3.3, but the problem I have is that I was in Canada this past weekend, so I didn't have a 3g network to do the update. I also double checked my phones information and it confirms that it is still only running on 2.2. So far, I have put all movable apps onto my SD drive, to try to do a factory restart, but now my phone can't even do that. Please help me out. Thanks =]

I can definitely understand your frustrations with your device!  I would be happy to assist!

 

First, to clarify the software update for the DROID 2 Global by Motorola is not yet available.  You can check for update availability at our website: Software Update: Droid 2 Global by Motorola.

 

As far as the issues you're having with calls, texts and applications, have you noticed any of these problems after downloading any particular applications?  If so, I would suggest removing the applications, rebooting the device and check to see if the issues persist.  I know you mentioned you attempted the hard reset, but was unsuccessful.  This step would actually help because it will remove any corrupt files or applications from the device and allow you to start afresh.  If you're unable to hard reset the device going through the preferred method, there is an alternate method that should allow you to reset the device.  I am including a link with instructions and screen shots: Hard Reset - DROID2 Global by Motorola.
