Droid 2 Global update has ruined my phone

I'm not due for a new phone until August of next year - but as it stands with this "update" my phone is not the phone i purchased December of last year. What are the odds they fix this "update" anytime soon. Literally my phone is a shell of what it was last week and RELIABLE is not a word I would use to describe its current status.

Everything from the camera to battery life to the green message indicator light flashing all day long is an issue. No widgets work, apps dont work. Cant find my location. Etc, etc... I have a long list.

I would like to know what leverage I have when I go to my Verizon store tomorrow to complain. I do not want this phone anymore if gingerbread is going to be running it. I want my old phone back or a new phone.

Is anyone having as many issues as I am?

I will say this I'm shocked with the way Verizon has handled this update. To force an update on your customers in order to make it easier on Verizons tech support is not the way to treat customers. What's even worse because of the amount of complaints from forcing this update Verizon has done a 180 turnaround and now the people that are getting the update reputedly now have a choice of declining the update. As for all the people that Verizon forced into this gingerbread update, it just too bad you have gingerbread now no chance of going back.

Well, I was able to get the GB update after a long time early this month and was very happy.

The update provided on D2G is full of bugs, the display behaves unevenly, icons will disappear and would come after some time no matter what you do. Probably using huge system resources. While receiving the calls the speakerphone gets on and off automatically.

I don't find any changes in the launcher except for grouping the apps or in any other application's functionality. Just few days back the Market got updated with new look that's it. The dialer remains the same, no choice to choose the 2G/3G data connection.
What I believe that they have changed the version info only along with putting some real resource intensive bugs.
