Droid 2 Global

I have had my first Droid Global for about 5 months. Then it started acting up. I could not hear the ear piece started cutting out on me. The only way I could have a conversation, was using the speaker phone. I took the battery out and even factory reset it. No help. Called Verizon got a "new" one. Which lasted a whopping 5 days now it is doing the same thing. I called again and now I am on my 3rd device. When is this going to end? Anyone else have this issue?

We can certainly understand your frustration. We have verified this is not a known issue with the device; however, we will submit a product issue form so that we can start a report about this issue and get a resolution.  Thank you for your patience.

hello,

have the same probleb using GSM/3G radio in Kazakhstan and it is more than frustrating i can't speak to people and not afraiding of that my device can go wrong and neither me nor other person will not hear each other and then I need to reboot the phone or pull the battery out and back to solve the problem for a while

when Verizon or Motorola eventually solve this problem?

here is the problem discussion but you checked it as solved when actually it is not sovled.

and the latest firmware does not solve the issue with hearing

look forward to your reaction

if the issue won't be solved within a month, i will buy SGS 2 and never Motorola's and Verizon's devices

I've had a similar issue; speaker working fine, but couldn't hear anything on calls.  I tried the suggestion of going into the safe mode and trying to make a call with some apps disabled.  The phone worked again... not loud, but worked.  I deleted unsure apps and the phone is again working... still not loud but at least working.  With the initial problem even the speaker phone  wouldn't work. Thanks.

SteenHensley, thanks for bringing up your concerns over your device. One thing I have seen that helps most customers with the audio is turning on the Hearing Aid Compatibility. This is not saying that you need one :smileyhappy:, but it does increase the audio significantly. Go to Settings>Call Settings> turn on Hearing Aid Compatibility (HAC). See if this helps.

I find this interesting. I have the same problem, and in another thread, the verizon rep known as Christina_B has identified this as a known issue and sent it to the manufacturer.
