There is conflicting information about whether the Droid 2 is mobile broadband connect capable.  On Verizon's website it does not state that it is capable but customer service has stold me that it is capable.  I have a blackberry with mobile broadband connect and want to buy a Droid 2 and continue the mobile broadband connect service with the Droid 2.  Does anyone know if this is possible?  Thanks.

Yes the Droid 2 can connect to mobile Broadband...Connect the phone to the computer using the provided USB cable. When the dialog box appears, tap Mobile Broadband Connect, and then tap Done. Note: The appropriate feature must be added to the plan to allow this function to work and VZ Access Manager must be installed on the PC before connecting the device..Hope this helps!

Since the Droid 2 is capable of Mobile Broadband Connect when will Verizon's website be updated to reflect this capability?  Currently, on the website it states that the Droid Incredible and X are capable (when comparing the Incredible, X, and 2) of utilizng Mobile Broadband Connect but the Droid 2 does not show this capability.  Please request the webmaster update the website to accurately reflect this capability.  Thank you.

Hi - so I just got my new DRIOD2 yesterday and selcted it becuase I wanted to tether it using Verizon Mobile Broadband Connect. I have read your post and  have had the following issues:

1. when I plug the droid2 in, i do NOT get any pop up on phone.

2. i do NOT see that Motorola DRIOD2 version of VZ Access Manager is available... do I use another one? I downloaded HTC Droid Incredible version? I did try that and it did not work.. What WAS strange is that the device showed my OLD phone (RIM 8330).  Yes, I did "uninstall" the OLD VZ Access manager before trying out the Incredible version of the sofware.

Any help GREATLY appreciated!
