Does anyone know the details of preordering the droid 2. I have never order a phone through verizon website so I don't know how it works. Does the phone ship to me, to the store, or is one reserved at the store for me to pickup? Also if it ships to me does it come pre activated or do I have to take it to a verizon store to get it activated and contacts transferred.
Or can I just call and reserve on at my local store?
Any help is appreciated, I've been looking forward from upgrading from my ironically named envy 2 to something as awesome as droid 2. This is the only thing holding me back from hitting the "buy now" button.

schlasch: I have ordered my last 4 phones "online", and never had any problems. You'll do fine...plus you don't have to wait for the $100 rebate...it is instant when you order "online".
Good luck. My D2 phone will be here tomorrow!

Schlasch, I do apologize about the misinformation about the Droid 2 Preorder. Unfortunately, you will not be able to pick the device up from the store. However, you can ship it to your residence with the choice of Standard Shipping OR Overnight Shipping. As I stated in the last post, if you are a new customer you will charged an activation fee of $35. So, GOOD LUCK with the Droid 2, hope this phone really meets your needs. Looking forward to seeing you more around the boards!
