I have the same issue! Except when I went to my gmail account on the computer to fix it, nothing came up.
Im also having trouble syncing/linking my contacts from Facebook. It's a real pain in the butt! I have two different contacts for the SAME PERSON! And droid isn't letting me connect the two together. The new gingerbread update didn't help much, just screwed it all to hell!
If anyone can help I'd really really appreciate it.

I just got the new Gingerbread update and I am also having a problem linking my contacts. Before the update I went through my phone and linked them all. Now after the update some of them have reverted back. Please help!

lilbit73, I have my contacts synced with my facebook so I know how convenient this option is and why its important to have. I have two ways you can accomplish this task. I listed them both below.
Option #1
Menu > Settings > Accounts > FB Account > Menu > sync Now
Option #2
1) Click Menu
2) Click Settings
3) Click Accts & Sync (all your accounts will appear)
4)--You can either click Sync All, which sync all your contacts to your entire list (twitter, myspace, Google, facebook, flickr etc.), or you can choose which one you want to sync & tap the arrows next to it.
