Anybody know if I can use a Droid 2 with linux home PC for backup, pulling photos, etc.? I currently have XV6900 (Windows Mobile), and have never been able to get it to talk to my linux pc. Thinking of getting droid 2, but want to be able to backup to my linux machine in case of any issues. I didn't see this listed anywhere. Thanks!

Seeing as how android is a Linux-based OS, I doubt it'll have any problems. Most of Android's computer "syncing" is putting the SD card in mass storage mode and dragging/dropping files as needed. Also the android development software runs fine in Linux, and I know many Android developers use linux exclusively, so it should work fine.

Thanks for the info. I figured it should be fine, but just wanted to ask before plunking down the $ for a new phone.
