I have a Droid 3 XT862 with Verizon SIM card. I broke the screen and now it inoperable. If I by a Verizon droid 2 A955, is it as simple as moving simcards or do I have to contact Verizon?

The SIM card in the DROID 3 was only for use overseas to roam on the GSM networks there. You don't need a SIM card in either phone for it to work on the Verizon Wireless network.
