Droid 3 running v2.3.4 My notification LED doesn't work

I seen some postings about this but they were all several months old and I don't think any of them dealt with android 2.3.4.

 

Anyway, if I have an unread text, my LED will flash one time when my display goes off and then never again. I've tried battery pull, clearing the cache and several third party apps (Missed Call Reminder, Blink, and Light Flow) all with the same results....the LED blinds one time and then never again.

 

I've only had my Droid 3 for about a week and it came loaded with 2.3.4.

 

Other then that, I'm really happy with the phone and hope I don't have to exchange it because of something "little" like this, but most of my communication is through texting and I depend on that little reminder!

 

any other fix ideas? Anymore maintenance releases coming out soon?

Hello cindylee60!

 

I understand your dilemma in wanting to adjust the LED notification settings on your DROID 3!  I would like to offer some assistance.

 

The basic DROID 3 operating system settings doesn't allow for changing or adjusting the LED notification settings; however, you may consider downloading a third-party messaging application that has the option to change the LED notification settings.  I cannot suggest any in particular, but there are many available in the Market.
