Droid Bionic - Possible Solution for Black Screen During Phone Calls

My screen would go black when accessing voice mail or making/receiving calls. ( I called Verizon Support...they suggested a hard start-up).  Then I remembered that I just installed a new fitted screen protector that covered the light sensor.  I cut a notch in the protector and the phone works great again!  Hope this solves your problem too.

I wonder how phones have been exchanged because of this situation.
