Not doing anything special often, my droid will restart itself. Its the new Droid Bionic. I LOVE this phone, and suggest it to everyone. Netflix finally fixed their popping issue with it, and skype still needs to fix their incompatibility issues i think.
Never the less, anyone have any idea why my phone keeps restarting? Maybe once or twice a day? I might not be even using it, and I hear it do the start up noise. However a few times its happened when i've tried to text people. Hope to hear from someone

I, too, have experienced this turn-itself-on issue.

I had the same problem but it was caused by a tight case. If you have case that is too tight - it will exert pressure on a part of the phone that is sensitive to pressure and cause the phone to restart.

My phone has been doing this restarting stuff all week. I power phone off and sit there watching it start itself up again on its own. Anyone out there have a answer to why and how to truly fix problem.

Agreed... One thing that has been helping me lately, is turning from lte, to just 3g, which solves the connection issue. Before i had to constantly turn it to sleep, and wake it back up, but thne that stopped working. None of these have helped so far, however the tight case is interesting, I will remove the case for a few days, and if it still happens put it back on. I heard others say that a batch of them were defective.

I've had the same issue. It's fairly random but it happens a couple times a week on average. The phone just turns itself back on a couple minutes after I power it down. Very annoying.........
I think VZW owes us an answer on this one. This is the second thread on the issue with no resolution.

I have the same problem with my Droid Global and my husband has the problem with his Droid X. It never happened before we downloaded the new Andoid OS upgrade. Verizion needs to resolve this!..It's frustrating when you board a plane!

Agreed. And when you pay 300 dollars for a phone (with a 2 year contract), and we're paying the most in the industry for verizon. Why? Because its the quality of the network and phones. Guess what we're not getting to enjoy? 😕
