Droid Bionice data reception

Changed from Blackberry to new droid Bionic, while driving out of my normal area into Tuscola county, MI (always have perfect 3g service through entire Tuscola county on bb) when I enter the county I can always tell when it changes towers, there is about a 2 mile area where it changed. Never had an issues with blackberry, now the new droid will not pick up any data signal at all throughout the entire county, called tech support they tried everything including a complete factory reset, as soon as I left the county (2 days later) everything resumed as normal. Am I just screwed? Any ideas? I have unlimited data plan, my buddies bb worked just fine, my sons droid X worked fine.. The phone service worked fine by the way, just no data

I am guessing the device voice service functions fine in the problem areas, have you tried disableing 4G radio and leave it on 3G data and see if this helped any...

i will try that this weekend, also under data delivery, should I have the data roaming box checked or unchecked? Seems like the default is unchecked, I do not think the area I travel to is considered "roaming"?

Thanks Community members for all the great feedback and suggestions!

jimrieth I trust the suggestions given by the Community will ensure you get a data connection while in Tuscola County.  Yes, ensure data roaming is enabled so when you are roaming on non-Verizon Wireless towers you will maintain a data connection.  I checked our coverage map, and most of Tuscola County is in Extended Broadband coverage area.  Meaning, your 3G data signal will be provided by a non-Verizon Wireless partnered cellular tower.  If data roaming was not enabled that would be why you did not receive a data connection.

Please let us know if this works for you!
