Just to let you know. I have had a "Garmin nuvi" GPS device for about a year. Since it was illegal, at the time of purchase, to mount the device on the windshield in the state of California I purchased the bean bag dash mount holder. This weekend I purchased the "Car Mount Phone Holder" for my Droid at the local Verizon store. Even though it is now legal to mount a device on the windshield (with restrictions) I prefer the dash bean bag. I experimented and discovered that the Droid mount plate fits perfectly on the bean bag mount holder. For GPS directions, I can now interchange the Garmin and Droid to use the dash bean bag mount according to my preference at any given time.

Which mount do you have for the GPS device? I am hoping to try the same thing.

I have the mount that came with my Garmin nuvi 760. It was part of the complete window suction cup mount accessory. The mount holders (suction cup, bean bag) have a ball that the mount itself fits/snaps into. I think I purchased the bean bag mount holder at Target (in the GPS section). The Moto Droid mount plate fits nicely in the bean bag mount holder.

I am looking at a bean bag mount on Amazon. Not sure how the Droid car mount would fit though. Any thoughts?
