Droid Charge Not Sending Texts

My Droid Charge has not been sending texts messages for several days now.

All of my texts say "pending.."

Other discussions have suggested to take the SIM card out and in and put the phone in "safe mode" but neither of those work. It has nothing to do with my location either, I've sent & received thousands of texts in my location without trouble before. The phone is operating normally except that issue. I've also deleted apps I've downloaded as that was another discussion suggestion...that hasn't worked either. I've also tried dialing *228  several times to no avail.

How can I fix this?? Thank you to who replies Smiley Happy

Well, definitely don't dial *228 on a 4G LTE device to update the programming with the Verizon Wireless network.

Since you have already tried removing the SIM card from the phone, I would suggest calling customer service from another phone and see if they can reset your texting feature on their side. You could also try a new SIM card as well.
