Droid Charge - USB Device not recognized

Recently, I was directed by Verizon to reset my Droid Charge to factory settings, since I did that, I can no longer connect via USB to any computer, Win 7 and XP.  To this point, I have tried multiple cables, multiple USB ports, multiple computers.  On my home computer, I disabled all USB ports and reloaded drivers and still nothing.  I have the phone set to "Ask on connection", but still nothing.  The phone shows charging, but, I cannot see the device in Windows.

Thoughts anyone?

Thanks

I assume that you already have loaded the Samsung Charge phone Samsung USB driver (I510_V1.3.1900.0.exe).  It won't work without it and that you are using the original USB cable that came with the phone (other cables "sometimes" do not work)..

Try this:  Touch Settings>Applications>Development>USB debugging so the red check mark is ON.  Now connect your phone to the PC.  If this does not fix your problem you may as well UN-check the red check mark.

Thanks for this info, but, still no luck.  I do have the Samsung drivers installed, and have the original, as well as other USB cables.  The phone was connecting fine until I had to reset to defaults, then it stopped connecting.

Keven,

Right now I am out of good ideas but for general info when I have the USB Debugging UN-checked and connect my Charge phone I  hear two short tones and my XP explorer shows two new folders.

Verizon Mobile F:  This one shows info on the phone such as the name of the driver, etc.  It says the driver is 1.3.2380.0

Removable Disk G:  This one is the removable Disk G that contains all the folders in the phone.  The one you are trying to get to.

Maybe, if you have a copy, try to reinstall the Samsung USB driver.  It will not hurt to try.  You can always reload a driver.

Keven and everybody,

I just noticed a BIG difference in the drivers for my phone/PC.  Can anyone explain it.

I originally installed driver 1.3.1900.0  when I first received the phone with Froyo 2.2.1 BUT now I see that the driver is 1.3.2380.0 in my phone itself.

Could it be that...1.3.1900.0 is in my PC and 1.3.2380.0 is in my i510 Charge phone.

Everything is working okay so it is fine with me but I wonder...what's up?
