I have been having performance issues with my Charge for some time now. It takes over a minute to boot up, sometimes 2 or 3 minutes. Occasionally when I close an app down, it takes 10 seconds for my app icons to reappear on the Home page. I took it to the local Verizon store and they did say it appeared slow. We did the take the battery out and put it back in thing...but that doesn't do much. I have made sure I moved as much apps and data to the SD Card as possible. However, I noticed I still am using a lot of RAM on processes.
Any advice out there to improve the speed and performance of this phone?
You might check on how many widgets you are using and are active. I noticed with my previous Samsung galaxy phone that whenever I added widgets my phone really slowed down. When I deactivated the widgets the phone ran normally.
I thought it was funny that widgets would slow the phone down, but installing regular applications did not. I guess if I knew more about the technology I might understand. Just another user's opinion. Good luck.
