To former Eris owners who have switched to the DINC, can you tell me which you like better, the Eris or DINC? I'm so sick of the freezing & lagging of the Eris; if I click one contact, it calls another; slow internet, etc. Please tell me the DINC is better. Does it have any problems mentioned or other problems similiar to the Eris or problems in general? It's almost time to change phones & I really like the DINC but I'm also looking at the Samsung Fasinate. If most of you are saying the Eris is better, then the Fasinate it is. If I didn't need a phone so bad, this Eris would of been placed under the tires of my 4x4 pickup & driven over long by now. Thanks all!

i wuld actually wait a bit for the newer devices that will be coming out over the next few months. if your eris is that bad though, then i can understand not wanting to wait. i jst figure that the inc is nearly a year old now. if i were using my upgrade, i'd want a newer device. the tbolt is coming out real soon, and the bionic will be out in 2 or 3 months (hopefully). i believe samsung is also coming out with a new device soon.

I normally wouldn't recommend this around here, but if you take a trip to XDA, you may end up finding your Eris a lot more livable. Also, if you search the market for Eris and go to the 14th entry, you'll find a little piece of goodness. This may just help you to wait until the next round of phones are released.

LOL! OH, that 14th entry of goodness. I have to agree with you there.

Excuse me for sounding dumb, but was is XDA? I would like to keep the Eris.
Another question in case current Eris owners reads this; I recently been getting messages on my Eris to download the latest update. What is the update about? Too nervous to update b/c after the last one, the phone was no longer friendly. Thx

I know of someone with a stock Eris and they had no problems with the update.
Couple of threads for the second question.

Take a look at the pdf in the last post.
