Hi my Droid HTC Incredible 2 had some updates to my apps today and then froze. I removed battery and when reinserted experienced constant rebooting. Please help as it seems nothing I do keeps it from restarting! I have removed and reinserted battery several times with the same problem each time.

This is the 3rd phone I have had do this. Right now I hate the Incredible 2. I need this phone for work and really don't have the time to wait for Verizon to ship me another one. I think 4 phones in 2 months is ridiculous.

Hello everyone!

Thank you all for your posts! Sorry that your phone was rebooting! That can make things pretty difficult! Spiritbee76 had a great troubleshooting step. I would like to suggest trying safe mode on the phone first, that way we can see if an application is causing the issue. http://bit.ly/Nt6Vir  The next step would be a hard reset. http://bit.ly/TjjKba Once the reset is performed, please limit adding apps to one a day. We can determine what the problematic app is then. Let us know if you need anything else!

Thank you!

sad face three days after rebooting my phone froze I just ignored it.  Few days later phone cut totally off and  fight it for a good 20 minutes to restart it.  Yesterday phone went crazy and cut off again fully charged might I add.  Had to put phone in safe mode instead and did a restart.  Phone came back on with a message stating had an app error for loading and never came back up.added six new apps to phone after the reboot though.  so i guess this phone can't handle apps. will be going to the Verizon store on Saturday to see about replacement to another phone. since phone is updated and rebooted and clearing the phone back to factory doesn't help it

No sad faces Spiritbee76! Let's get this fixed!

You mentioned you added 6 applications. That's not very many so it shouldn't be a problem with the phone handling applications. It may be the applications themselves. If you don't mind posting, which applications did you install?

As Katie mentioned, try adding one application a day to see how the phone reacts.

Please let me know!

Thanks,

phone came back with the eye and the two dots and did a restart...few hours later my phone was in full out safemode on it own and went white screen on me and delete all my contacts and apps on it own. **Straight face** nobody could call and I couldn't dial out on it...had to make a drive to Verizon store.

update: took phone to verizon store today(I was totally trying to avoid due to the high traffic of this store) the young lady in the store Cheslea was very nice and friendly.  She stated she can put in a request for warranty but had to get manager approval on it due to some dents on the phone.  Now I already know this is not going to fix the problem with this phone but that the option that she gave me. So I will get a new phone on Wednesday and send the old one back.  **Don't see how this will fix the problem with the phone malfunctioning it not a glitch like dropped on the floor or dumped in pool of water type situation. The phone can't handle the latest apps or upgrades.  **Shrugging Shoulders will see how this work out with a new phone**

phone went out again and had to drive back to verizon store to see what wrong with it and they stated that the phone has malfunction and unstable and would need to replace it.
