Droid IMAP doesn't work correctly

I have a Motorola Verizon Droid.

IMAP email doesn't work correctly.

I have to manually click each and every message in the Trash folder and then tap Delete so that my email server will know that the emails have been deleted.

With IMAP email, when you delete a message, it should instantly be deleted and not put into a trash folder, so that the email server will immediately know that it's been deleted.

Additionally, there is no way to delete all Sent emails without checking each one, one at a time, and then tapping Delete. Then they go into the Trash folder where they have to be checked and Delete tapped again.

Very crude implementation of IMAP.

The iPod Touch and iPhone do IMAP correctly, but the iPhone is on AT&T so that's a deal killer.

IMAP needs some serious work.

Until this is fixed, Droid not recommended for IMAP email unless you only get 1 or 2 emails per day.
