Why does my phone NOT ring when in sleep mode?

Assuming it does ring properly when awake, make sure it is not set to "silent" under sound profile / sound settings.

Matratz, if this issue has not been resolved please try a soft reset by powering off the device and remove the battery. Place the battery back in and test the device when in sleep mode by calling it. Additionally, ensure that the volume is high or on vibrate.
