Droid Incredible High pitched noise!?

Alright, I have had my Incredible for almost 2 weeks.  Reall no problems to speak of until today.  I have had numerous issues today with making phone calls.  When I go to make a phone call, I hear a high pitche whine coming over the speaker of my device.  When the call connects, the person on the other end can not hear me.  After hanging up and trying to call again, I hear nothing. No ringing, not talking, no nothing.

The only way to fix this is to shut the device off and re boot.  Well........any ideas?

I've had this happen the other day. Same situation. Had to do a battery pull.

Have had other problems - but that's for another post...

This just happened to me today too, but only on some of my calls. I originally attributed this behavior to the network but it hasn't happened again since doing a reboot, so probably not.

I had this same problem until I did the *228 option 2 (update roaming) thing. No problem since. I was so excited to get the phone I totally forgot to do it   . You should do this for every new phone.

I did a *228 option 2 follwed by a 1.  Was just strange that I had the phone for 11 days and then it happens.  Hasnt happened again.  I will keep you posted.

I have the same problem only mine started after I did *228. Does anyone know if this mean the phone is defective?
