Interesting in trading for an X. I love my Incredible, but ever since handling my friends X, I would like something bigger.

The phone is in perfect shape.

Feel free to throw any questions/offers/ideas my way.

Thanks guys!

"... from my dead cold hands .."  comes to mind ... lol  ...

Maybe try Craigslist ... or hang out in front of Verizon store ..  🙂

This is one of those trade ideas that will go nowhere fast.  Verizon will not allow contracted devices to change accounts until the terms of the contract have been met.

Not so. I've swapped cell phones numerous times.

Well, when ppl start trading turds for gold, you may have someone willing to trade.  And I question the validity of your facts.  Otherwise there is no way to enforce a contract when it's tied to devices.  If a contracted phone is added to another account they cannot kill the ESN of the phone for failure to fulfill the contract.

Believe what you wish. I don't doubt the validity of your comprehension. Thanks for sharing your smarts on the forum and particularly my post. Rock on!

I also have swapped out the phones on my lines. It`s a simple process.

I have swapped out phones on my line as well, but I've also been told that a device is under contract with another account and cannot be added even with the previous owners permission.

I too have swapped phones on my own account, but it does sound logical that you can't swap phone between different customers accounts.    One obvious problem would be.... what if one customers phone only had one month to go on it's two year contract, and the swapped phone from the other coustomers account still had 19 months left on its two year aggrement? which customer gets what?

I seam to remember reading that if you buy a phone from someone, the original owners contract must be fulfilled of which paying the early termination fee is one of the possibilities. Then and only then can you activate the phone on a different customers account.

Good luck though..... but i'd get confirmation from Verizon and maybe make the swap in the store and have the Verizon employee switch everything while you wait and then you personally test the phones to be sure the correct numbers are where the should be.

Again, good luck,

This can be done. The only thing you must make sure of is that both you and the other party are on the call together. This way if the person you are switching with has an overdue payment you will have an 8mp JD paper weight. If you purchased through a 3rd party make sure to have met the 180 day hiden contract or the other party. Its called an equipment fee and its ussially $200 that's how they make there money. So simply follow these steps and make sure to never trade or buy a flashed droid because that's not good. I hope this helps. Oh one more thing, esn swap fees are inevitable so work that out too.
