Droid Incredible won't receive text messages

Looking around, I've read this was a result of the 2.3.4 update. Well, I've had the update for quite some time. It didn't do anything negative to my phone at first, then I started have the "low memory" problem. I got that cleared up, not I can't receive text messages. I can send them, just not receive. I've tried the Hotfix that has been mentioned in other forums, that didn't work. I've restarted the phone several times, pulled the battery out, and checked all my settings. Does anyone have any suggestions other than the Hotfix?
