Is there a way to remove the search box at the top on the home screen of the Droid?
I would rather have the extra real estate, especially in landscape mode.
At the home screen, press and hold ... the botton tab will change to a garbage can ... drag it to that and voila ... it is gone.

You longpress the homescreen, another menu will come up with other options, click widgets, and then click search.
