You should be able to get a new SIM card free at your local Corporate Verizon store or by calling Customer Service.

No, there is no charge for 'bringing your own device' and no change to your plan.

Just go into a Verizon corporate store or call Verizon Customer Service and you can get one at no charge.

Will they give me a 3g SIM card or a 4g, because the whole reason im switching is because the iPhone 4 is 3g.

Only 4G LTE phones have SIM cards.

The DROID Incredible 2 that the OP is asking about is a global ready 3G EDVO smartphone. It would have a slot for a Vodafone SIM card. If the OP intends to travel internationally with this phone and wants to use the Verizon Wireless International plans, they would have to get a new Vodafone SIM card from Verizon Wireless. I don't know if those SIM cards are readily available from a corporate store or not. Customer Service should be able to mail one to the OP if necessary.

Uh, oh! I thought that phone was 4G ... . So if the OP wants a 4G LTE phone, they need to purchase a different phone and ensure that it's Verizon-branded with a clean ESN.

It does get confusing after a while with SO many devices using similar naming conventions.

Note that the SIM cards are free at Corporate Verizon stores; if you go to a retailer, they'll charge you for one. And they may try to upsell you on your plan, but again, you do not have to change it just because you're swapping out phones.
