Hello, I have a rooted stock rom Droid X 2.2 which has no issues and I'm very pleased with. I don't see anything in the 2.2.1 update that makes me want to upgrade. But I am curious about one feature mentioned in the Verizon announcement under enhancements : What is the Data Widget on home panel? What is it used for? Thanks

Its just small 1x1 widget that has "Data Usage: [MB] / [MB] as of [date]"
Pretty useless since Droid owners are required to have an unlimited data plan (the widget has "UNLIMITED" on denominator)

Actually, Droid users can get a 150MB $15/month plan also. I believe this widget is also a shortcut to more info on your acct such as minutes used, texts sent, and ability to change features on your plan.

How do you access this widget?

I'm curious also, as I received the update yesterday but do not see a "data widget" on any of the home screens. Not that I need it since I have the unlimited plan, but I'm still curious.

Just figured it out. Long press on home screen and press android widgets. You will see it in there.
