Add calendar events
From any view, press Menu > New event. Enter
the event start time and other details. You can even
set a reminder so you don’t forget about the event.
(When you set the reminder time to 0 minutes, it
plays at the event start time.)
Tip: Reminders will play only if you’ve selected a
notification ringtone (see “Ringtones” on page 37).
When you finish entering event details, touch Save.
Manage calendar events
To edit an event, touch and hold it, then touch Edit
event. When you’re done, touch Save.
To delete an event, touch and hold it, then
touch Delete event.
To go to today, press Menu > Today.

Add calendar events:   From any view, press Menu > New event. Enter

the event start time and other details. You can even

set a reminder so you don’t forget about the event.

(When you set the reminder time to 0 minutes, it

plays at the event start time.)

Tip: Reminders will play only if you’ve selected a

notification ringtone

When you finish entering event details, touch Save.

These steps was taken from VZW website. You can find them going onto the site and clicking the support tab and selecting the  WIRELESS SUPPORT link under Phones and Devices.

I hope this helps.

If all that's important to you is a reminder at 9am daily, you could ignore the calendar and set a daily alarm in alarm clock, or any of several free or paid apps.

I've had the same experience, and all I want is for there to be a banner on my home screen that says I have an event that day. I get nothing.  I've followed those directions offered and I still get nothing. Any other thoughts?

OK, this is now resolved for me, I had apparently deleted the Motorola Widget calendar function. Restored that and now it's good.

To change your calendar view from the application menu touch calendar, press menu, touch agenda, day, week , or month to change the calendar view. Each view displays the events in your calendar for a period of time. To view more information about an event in any of those events, touch the event. When you access the calendar in the day view the current time is determined by the time of the day.

Try selecting the view screen that you want and leave it there. Once you return to your calendar it should be there. As of right now it's not showing a default setting for views.

I am very new with my Droid X. Learning things day by day. My newest thing. The calendar.  First off, how do I sync it with my mac powerbook? I cannot find any instructions on that. Also, when I open my calendar  October is always on my screen...Why won't it stay on November?  Now that being said. When I want to put my schedule in for Dec. and on I always need to go in agenda. Is there any other way?

Thanks,

Your calendar should update automatically. I would recommend for you to do a hard reset on the device. Here are the steps below.

Performing a hard reset will remove ALLdata including the Google account, system data, application data, application settings, and downloaded applications. Be sure to back your contacts and remove your sd card before doing the hard reset.

  • From the home screen, touch the applications tab (located at the bottom of the display).
  • Touch Settings.
  • Touch Privacy.
  • Touch Factory Data Reset.
  • Touch Reset Phone.
  • If presented, enter the current passcode or draw the unlock pattern.
  • Touch Erase Everything
