Droid X Earpiece Problems...????

I've had my droid X since the end of July. There's no scratches or any damage done to the phone. Recently when I've been trying to make a phone call, I can't hear my phone ringing. It will say connected and everything, but I can't hear anything. Text messaging and everything else works... But the person on the other line would call me and I couldn't hear them and they couldn't hear me. I've rebooted the phone and it fixed the problem temporarily. It's been happening more frequently lately, and I don't know what I should do.

Any suggestions...???

Try doing a hard reset on the device.

Performing a hard reset will remove ALL data including the Google account, system data, application data, application settings, and downloaded applications.

Before you do a hard, or factory, reset, which will take you back to day one and you must start all over, check to see that you did not accidently turn on either silent mode or airplane mode. You might also want to check to see if "Smart Sensers" are off or on. If they are on, shut them off. For some reason these smart sensers really play games with you and the phone. They sound useful, but are not.

Volumes are too confusing on the Droid X, Give Audio Manager a try, the system have so many volumes in so many diffrent places and Audio Manager combines them into one area to verify volume states.
