Droid X Help -

To make a long story short, I have been in contact with both Verizonwireless and Motorola about this issue and they can not help me. Here is my issue.

I can not receive email on my Droid X (with the latest upgrades) with my Exchange server. I can, however, send emails out and I can see my sub-folders under my Inbox (but not data in those folders either). My Calendar and Contacts sync and I have access to them. We have our IT support outsourced, but I have access to the server and I am fairly IT literate (enough to be dangerous). Anyone have any suggestions why I can not receive emails but can send them out?

History:

When I first got the Droid X in early Dec 2010, I had the same issue. So,it was suggested to use a third party program called "Touchdown" and it worked. Since then the free trial ran out and it just kills me that I have to buy a third party program to make this function work when it should work without it (as advertised).

Currently:

I have been in contact with Verizon and Motorola multiple times about this and they still can not help me.

My server is WIndows Server 2003 with Exchange 2003 SP2.

I removed Touchdown and went back to the original default email program that is on the Droid X. I use the Corporate Sync option to add an account and use the correct server information to connect (domain server, user info...

So, here I am. Help!

So you say that it kills you to purchase a program that does the job because the Droid X is suppose to do corporate email.

What is your time worth. How long have you been playing around with this to try to make it work, with calls to Verizon, Motorola etc?

so have you spent more money on time and trouble trying to figure this out, than what you would have spent on Touchdown?

Now before you get mad, the above stuff is just me being a smart aleck. No harm intended..... Really :smileyvery-happy:

Now with the information you provided, I suspect that the exchange server is not quite set up correctly. You can send email out, but cannot see the data inside of folders or receive email.

Doing a Bing search, I happened across this.

it goes over the settings of Exchange 2003 with screen shots. This would be my first place to check. I would suspect that there is a setting that is not set up correctly which causes some functionality, but not full functionality.

Hope that this has your answers and have a good day.
