After I activated my iPhone 5 my Droid X wouldn't let me in using the same PIN that has been on the phone for years. It will not accept my Google Account Login either. I can login on my computer to Google, but not the phone. I do not want to complete a restart on the phone. What are my options?

No. I have my iPhone 5 activated using it. Droid X is not on, but I still need access to it. The PIN Code doesn't work and the Google Username and Password doesn't work.

you can use wi-fi for email, texting, update apps but can't call on a phone that isn't activated.

I DO NOT want to call or use the phone for any kind of data or voice functions. I need to physically access the phone. Some contacts didn't transfer with VZ Contact Transfer, text I need some information from, phone numbers that aren't in the Droid's contact list and some other things I need.
The Droid is not activated and I don't want it activated. I want to get into the phone. I get the run a round with tech support!

I don't have Wi-Fi turned on on the phone. The Verizon representative has me turn it off prior to powering it down to activate my iPhone.

yeah & now that you have the iphone activated, turn the dx on with wi-fi & do what you need to do.
fwiw:
you didn't need to turn off wi-fi when the dx was powered powered down.
when the phone's off, wi-fi doesn't work.

She explained it as if I power it back on Applications would continue to function if wifi was left on. How can I turn wifi back on? I can't access the phone. The PIN and Google account login will not work? Verizon keeps saying hard restart, but I need data stored on the phone.

YES THEY WILL, I SAID THAT AT 530P.
yo, you don't need to login, just use wi-fi after you turn it on..
Press Menu > Settings > Wireless &
networks > Wi-Fi settings/on
it works

I can't log into the phone. The PIN Code isn't working and the Google Account Login Credentials aren't working. When you turn the phone on and you swipe your finger from left to right to unlock it then you enter a PIN Code or Swipe Code. I used the same PIN Code for over 1 years and it suddenly quit working when I activated my iPhone!
I can't get in to activate the wifi to use it.

i apologize, i didn't realize you meant the unlock pin & without it, i'm out of ideas but this has been a learning experience, to remove unlock code before activating another phone when turning off the old phone.
a factory reset may get you back in but may remove all the texts & email in the process.
gmail contacts will remain in the gmail account & backup assistant should stay intact because it's not on the phone.
i'm betting there's some ez way to get out of the pin predicament but i don't know what it is.
when/if you get in, please post how you did it & good luck.

Hi webstera17,
I can certainly understand your frustration with accessing your phone. Let's get this fixed.
Unlocking the Security Lock when locked out:
Enter the correct pattern or passcode to unlock the handset after a security lock has been set.
If you forgot the pattern or your passcode is not working, the handset will allow you to log-in with the Gmail information you programmed into the handset during set-up.
You will need to try entering a pattern or passcode at least five times. If you fail to draw the correct unlock pattern or passcode on the screen after five attempts, the phone will prompt you to wait for 30 seconds before you can try again.
Press OK or wait for 30 seconds before attempting again.
After you press OK, the lock will come back again with a button on bottom right that states Forgot pattern.
Tap Forgot Pattern.
You will be prompted to sign in using your Google/Gmail account and then to create a new screen unlock. You can skip entering a new security lock.
If you forgot or are unsure about your Google password, but you know your Gmail login or Google account name, you can have Gmail send you a password change request link to your other email address through your computer. Click Here for our detailed FAQ on Gmail password reset. Summary of process is below.
•
•
Please use a computer to visit http://www.gmail.com.
•
From the Gmail login page click on the "Can't access your account?"
•
Follow the steps in that guide to recover your Gmail login information. Click Here for our detailed FAQ on Gmail password reset
•
Once your login information is recovered, please use that information to unlock the handset using initial steps above. If you recently created your Gmail account or changed its password, allow up to an hour to try the new password.
Note: You must have had a Gmail account setup on the handset before you locked the handset to reset your passcode through Gmail.
Your phone can still be powered off when locked. Turning the phone back on will return to the lock screen.
•
If all of the above steps do not assist in unlocking your phone, you can perform a factory reset as a last resort. All the data you have previously entered on your handset (not SDcard) will be deleted and you will need to start new.
Thanks,
Pamelaf_vzw
