I have been having several issues with my X. Rebooting, touch screen freezing, and voice activation only working part of the time. Called tech support who told me to go to my local store (where I purchased it) for an exchange. Only problem is all my local stores are out and won't order a new one without taking my phone or charging me 300.00 as security that I'll replace it. Customer service told me the same thing. Is this standard or am I just being taken for a ride. Don't have 300.00 for a replacement and can't be without my phone.

My phone bit the dust yesterday. I spoke with tech support and I was walked through a couple of things to reboot. Nothing worked. I was also told to go to the store to order my replacement. The two tech people I spoke with both documented my problems. I went to the store, a phone was ordered. I was told that I should have a phone within two business days. I was also given my phone back and told to keep keep the battery for my new phone. I was not told any of the things that you were told. I went through a corporate store. I was told by the techs that I spoke to over the phone that it would be faster if the store placed the order. I was treated very professionally and courteously throught the whole process. Hope this helps!

They told me the same thing. If you still have your old phone you can reactivate that one and send back the droid x so they will not charge you.

If you go through warranty you'll be getting a refurbished phone. Then again there may not be refurbished Droid X's available since it still is a brand new phone. If you are within the 30 day period you can exchange the phone for another new different phone

If they told you to keep the battery I would think you are getting a refurb. If you end up with a new phone then you will have the extra battery for a spare.

Yeah like I said most likely a refurbished one would come. Then again if their are none in stock I would imagen it would be new
