Worst phone EVER. DO NOT BUY.
* Constantly reboots
* Constantly drops data connection
* Totally ignores third-party email for about an hour on its own which is absolutely CRITICAL.
* Will only get email immediately when its powered down, then up.
* 3G coverage blows.
I HATE AT&T and APPLE, but I miss my iPhone already and its only been a week. But it WORKED, ALWAYS.
They should renamer this the ROID X, because it is a PITA POS!
I had a bag phone in the '90's that worked better than this.

went from a motokrazr to a storm1 loved it i guess it depends on what you have had before you use it ...it was my first smartphone and it to me was outstanding and i missed it when i went to my env3 but my x does put it to shame...but the storm was a solid phone 3 years ago ..if you are hating on it now you are behind technology lol like the blackberry torch

I'm on my 4th one and it does the exact same thing the author stated. Data cuts out, slow, etc and I live in a strong 3G signal area. I knew I wasnt the only one!

Have had the Droid X for 2 months! Have to say it is the bomb!!!! Blows Iphone & Blackberry out of the water!!!!! Had both

I have had no issues with my Droid X that were not caused by myself and quickly rectified.
The problem is the Droid X is a Smartphone. Most people who bought it were coming from a non-smartphone and don't understand that it cannot be compared to a standard phone. And yes I do include all versions of the Iphone as non-smartphones.
I'd also like to point out that many of the people with just a couple posts here complaining about the Droid X are Iphone owners who have never held a Droid X. I must say it's a pretty big compliment that they would make an account and visit to complain about a phone that is obviously better than their own.
If these people really did own a Droid X and hate it, they have their 30day money back guarantee during which they can cancel service and return the phones without paying penalties on a 2 year contract. You cannot convince me that someone would be such a tool to spend over $200 on a device that doesn't work and a service that doesn't meet their needs, then refuse to take their opportunity to get their money back.
PS. I'm still loving my Droid X that I purchased Day 1.
