Over the last couple of weeks or so I've been noticing that in places where I always get good strong WiFi with my Droid X, i.e. work, collage, home, hotel stays, my phone can no longer get the WiFi unless I am literally sitting in the room where the WiFi router is at. Even then the signal strength is very weak and it goes in and out contently.
Does anyone have any idea what is going on??
Any and all help would be great.

The wifi feature is a great option to have. I don't see this is a reported issue with your device. Do you have any opportunities with your 3G signal when you are not receiving wifi? Since you have noticed a difference in multiple areas I would recommend you complete a factory reset. Please keep in mind this will erase everything on your device to be sure to back up the device as desired. You can follow the visuals here to complete the reset.
