Droid X not sending pics to yahoo or gmail account...

For some reason I can no longer send pictures from my phone to my email accounts. I can send them by texting them and that's about it. When I try to send the email from my phone I get this, "message waiting to be sent", which stays on for a few seconds then goes away. No other message comes up and no email is send. I was thinking that because the pic is 1.5mb that that could be the problem but I checked other emails I sent and they where the same size. Does anyone know what the problem could be?
