Hi pimpeds10,

I see you've tried a number of troubleshooting steps, and still no success.  I would like to help in getting this resolved for you.

Thanks to all the Community members for the great feedback & suggestions.

pimpeds10, figuring you've had multiple replacements, experiencing some of the same issues lets see what's in common with each replacement.  First, regarding the battery door; anytime you receive a warranty replacement, it doesn't come with the battery or battery door.  I would like to suggest replacing the battery door.  It may have a bad fit on your device, causing the WiFi & GPS signal issues.  Also, whenever you activate your replacements, you're probably signing into the same Google/GMail account associated with the previous devices.  Anything backed up to your previous Google account will follow to the replacement devices.  I suggest hard resetting your device, and at activation, setup a new Google account to ensure nothing corrupt (app/file/contact) gets reinstalled.

Please let me know how this works out for you.

Thanks,

AnthonyTa_VZW

The battery door you can see where a brass looking piece has worn a spot on the door smooth and shiny guessing this has something to do with the wifi and GPS.

My Google account hasn't sync'd my apps since my first hard reset on my first device and this time didn't sync my saved backgrounds. Do you think that this could be the issue knowing that?

The new setup wont allow you to private message a person until you select option to follow the user and they acknowledge the request...   I really wish they would change this feature and allow users to request being a friend without having to follow the users.

Place pointer on the contacts name and select the Follow button and once they agree to the request the Follow will turn to Private Message.

I don't mean to sound sarcastic (who am I kidding, I usually am), but isn't it ironic that a forum member (Wildman) has to intercede with tips on how to private message in this "new and improved" forum?

You are the man, Wildman.

@pimped

If you can't access that option with the browser that you are using you can tap the users photo under name and it will take you to their profile page and there is a Follow but that you can press to do the same thing.

I followed you but I guess you have to follow me back before I can direct message you?
